Job Description

The IT Department is responsible for the project management, design, implementation and operational support of IT Applications in MAS. The teams manages and ensures the smooth operations and delivery of IT projects that serves the Financial Industry as well as MAS users.

You will be part of the Central Banking & Devt Platforms payment team responsible for managing the MAS Electronic Payment System (MEPS+) and domestic securities management systems in MAS, and the MEPS+ contingency system. These responsibilities involve supporting interbank payments in MEPS+ as well as MAS and government securities and trade settlements. You are expected to understand and support the linkages between these systems and other market infrastructures such as the Automated Clearing House (ACH), FAST, and Singapore Exchange. The successful candidate will also be given exposure in the revamp of Special Singapore Government Securities System and will be assisting in the onboarding to DevOps.

Job Requirements

  • Good Degree with at least 5 years' relevant experience in supporting and/or implementing payments and securities settlement systems.
  • Candidate must possess strong project and vendor management skills and proven ability in project delivery.
  • Strong technical skills in developing Securities systems, and understanding of payment systems and/or payment operations will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing operations, handling of issues, and ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues.
  • Strong written and communication skills will be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge of S.W.I.F.T messaging platform.
  • Proficient in code development of Java language, and proven experience as a .NET developer, SQL, design and architectural patterns.
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server and fault-tolerant infrastructure concepts.
  • Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations.
  • Experience using and configuring continous integration tools and DevOps.
  • Able to collaborate and work effectively with multiple teams with varying skillsets.
