AsPac Base Oil Procurement Manager is responsible for acting as a dedicated category resource, providing specialist support for category strategy development (category aligned) using sophisticated category management knowledge. You will conduct day-to-day procurement execution activities in order to meet the Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements for procurement operations!

  • Lead in the execution of Base Oil category strategy implementation plan for AsPac, including purchasing channel and contracting considerations, and handling the interface between strategy development and implementation by the delivery organization.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners and use these to identify cost saving/resilience and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support local/regional contract negotiation and execution, and ensures contracts are implemented with the appropriate systems, compliance and contract management set-up
  • Own the full sourcing process to ensure delivery of business plans and category strategies in collaboration with business partners. Generate the supplier portfolio, select suppliers and own the supplier negotiation. Integrate suppliers through the implementation of new contracts, ensuring efficient change management.
  • Provide active support on key procurement goals/ objectives and playing an active role in global/regional tenders.
  • Own the Quality Roadmap and Contracts Compliance agenda within the BO team, coordinate activities and key deliverables while handling partners expectations; translate strategic targets into business plans and performance contracts ensuring top down and bottom up consistency and transparency.

Experience and Job Requirements

  • University degree and equivalent work experience, in an appropriate technical and commercial field
  • Direct raw material category experience in global / regional businesses
  • Experience in handling diverse partners and proven record of delivering results
  • Sophisticated sourcing methodologies and tools
